I started playing football when I was 9 years old. I started on the "Dolphins"  YAFL team. I played all through a win-less high School career, and into college. I played Defensive end, Tight end and did all the punting and kicking. Once I hit my junior year of college, I was just punting and kicking and a full scholarship at Temple University. After graduating from Temple in 1998, I went back to New Mexico and coached defense, special teams, and punters and kickers at New Mexico Highlands University under a great Head Coach and friend, Carl Ferril.

Bengals Practice

After Coaching at New Mexico Highlands, I went back to California and met up with a great NFL Punter, Joe Prokop. Joe taught me some great punting secrets. I trained with Joe for a few months, and I went to a combine in 2000 in Reno Nevada where I met up with another great coach Paul (The kick Doctor) Assad. I was asked by the Cincinnati Bengals to come out for a workout. That workout led to me signing a two year contract with the team. A month or so later, I was put on waivers and not reclaimed to the team due to some interesting thoughts by the owner, not my coach.

I went back to New Mexico and got a job coaching football at my old high school for a season. I was the head JV coach and coached defensive backs, special teams, and punters and kickers on Varsity.

I spent the next few years running kicking camps for Paul Assad and going to work outs with NFL teams. I spent a lot of time with Joe Prokop as well, learning and honing my skills. In 2004, The "kick Doctor" called me up and asked me to come for a combine in Tampa Florida before I hung up my cleats. I went down to Florida and did well. I was invited to Dallas to work out for Bill Parcells. I did well and signed a one year contract. I made it through the offseason and up to preseason before I was released. After I “retired” I had an opportunity to play a couple charity games for children’s cancer in New Mexico with the New Mexico’s Bravest Firefighter’s team. It was my honor to be able to play with these men as well as the Metro Stars comprised of the same teammates.
